I saw a cool YouTube video about the Personal Web and just had to try it out! Here's my first attempt using Zonelets to write a post.
There is absolutely no way I am going to stick to one topic
I have multiple kinds of spicy brain packaged precariously in one skull. This can be a real blessing at times. At others it can be a huge pain. I think having a non-'niche-fied', anti-streamlined blog isn't really a blessing or a curse. But it's certainly got a certain part of me (who has read too many 'getting started blogging/content creating/etc guides) arcing up against myself.
"What do you mean you aren't sticking to one topic? That's not profitable/popular/other metric I've been tricked into thinking is important" I say to myself.
Little do I know, I'm actually doing this as an anti-profit seeking exercise.
Can we just fucking rest
No.
Sorry, brain doesn't do that!
What it does do, is grind itself against the cogwheels of the corporate machine uselessly until I'm completely exhausted. And then it grinds itself down further struggling to turn the wheels of mutual support and community. Then finally, when I want to work on myself the wheels just slip unless I somehow manage to enter hyperfocus.
Not entirely healthy, and honestly it is what it needs to be right now. I've been trying to get professional help with it (I will talk about it in another post soon I hope) and have not had much luck so far. But I think that having this weird little blog thing will help with that?
A space to be disorganised and expressive on purpose. No wheel to turn, just a space to roam however I'd like.
Plus the web 1.0 style is so cool honestly.
My Posting Plan
In order to set myself up for failure from day 0 I've devised a posting plan.
Literally all it is, is to make sure I tag the blog post with essentially what is in it.
I'm expecting to have some personal stuff, mental health stuff, etc alongside more specifically interesting things like Sims stuff and (currently) VR stuff and furry conventions and cool thing I'm suddenly interested in, as well as more laid back longer form things, maybe some fanfic if I can focus enough for it. Just a real potpourri of bits and pieces.
Anyway I'm going back to my Sims game now.
